LATEST GIG NEWS & DATES

• NEW DATE- Drumatik have been asked to perform at the SCLD Celebration in Glasgow on the 17th of October '07.  We are all really looking forward to performing and are honoured to be asked by the people at SCLD, because they do such great work for people with  learning difficulties.
• HOT NEWS-Drumatik have had a few new people come to join them! For the next 6 weeks people from the healthy living sensory impairment team will be trying their hand at Drumming...welcome everyone, and we hope you enjoy the experience...and who knows, maybe one of you will make the grade and become a fully fledged member of Drumatik.  Keep practicing!!
• T.B.A. Promo DVD video shoot. Once the DVD is finished, we will download it to the website so you can see what drumatik have been doing over the summer.  We will also be giving you the opportunity to purchase the DVD.
• Merchandise now available to purchase online...Ripper wallets-Gym Bags-Bum Bags...with more to follow.  Photos of the merchandise will be online soon!!
• Drumatik are hoping to perform on tv in the coming months.  We are hoping to get on to one of the 'talent' shows that have sprung up recently...'Britain's got talent' etc. How do you think we would do????

• TALENT SHOW UPDATE Hi everyone.  Yesterday-16th November-drumatik were lucky enough to be invited to take part in the first stage of the audition process for 'Britain's got talent' TV show.  What a fantastic day we had...we arrived at 11 o'clock and registered, then we warmed up the audition holding room full off the other competitors, by practicing our audition piece-samba Tam the shaky egg man!  The actual audition went really well. The sound was good and everyone played fantastically.  Hopefully we will make it through to the next round in January...keep your fingers crossed for us!
• PROMO DVD- Our promotional DVD is nearing completion!  We will hopefully have it ready by the end of November.  A part of the footage shot in Dunfermline Glen, Fife, will be put onto our 'youtube' site in the next few days...so go check it out and tell us what you think.  Drumatik would like to thank Bruce Whyte from bbstudio- www.bbstudio.co.uk - for all his hard work.

• Hi Everyone...sorry its taken so long to write more info about Drumatik...but it has been a very busy start to the year!  I thought you might like to know some upcoming date off the gigs we have coming up...

         May 31st - 3 Harbours Arts Festival, Prestonpans, Edinburgh.

         June 19th - SCVO 'the gathering' at the SECC in Glasgow

         June 21st - performing at Rachel House children's hospice, Kinross

         We are also performing at the Limekilns gala day celebration in August...date TBA

• Happy June everyone...on Saturday 31st May we played at the '3 harbours arts festival'....while everyone enjoyed the day, which was absolutely sweltering...we were a bit disappointed by the lack of people turning up to watch us.  We would all like to thank the lovely landlady of 'The Goth', who kindly made us some wonderful chips, and made us all feel very welcome.  THANK YOU.         

If you would like to give Drumming a go, and are between the ages of 16 and 65, why not come along to Hill Of Beath Community Centre on Monday nights from 6-8pm.  If you show us that you have the skills and determination, we might ask you to join us!

Hi everyone.  Here are a few dates for your diary...on the 2nd August we are performing at the Aberdour Festival Raft Race...on the 16th August we are performing at the Limekilns Gala day...and on the 20th August we will be in Edinburgh, playing for the tourists at the national gallery.  Please come along and give us your support.
